This week's Fortnightly Firmament is going to take a little while to put together, but in the meantime, here's a Firmament of sorts: Broadsheet, a new lit mag in Toronto, has put together a video of "60 Great Canadian Authors in Less Than 30 Seconds" (more like 20 seconds, in fact). All you Eph. F. readers in T.O.: if you can identify the most by June 25, you'll get two passes to their party on June 30. (Via OpenBook: Toronto)

Having once done rather well on an impromptu quiz of the author photos on the walls of Farrar Straus Giroux, and having spent the first half of the last decade professionally marinating in the world of CanLit, I thought I'd see how many of these folks I could name. Looks like a fair amount of those faces are still lodged in my head somewhere: I'm pretty sure I knew 38 out of 60. With some further research I probably could have picked up a few more, but, well, too much of my morning was shot anyway.
So there won't be any spoilers for those who want to try their hand, I'll put my suggested answers in a separate post.
